The Tempest

Stars Theatre Westside Playhouse
December 15 - December 23

Widely known as Shakespeare’s farewell to the stage, The Tempest tells the tale of Duke Prospero, who has been waiting to reclaim rule after being overthrown by his brother 12 years prior, banished to a deserted island. Prospero creates a fierce storm — or tempest — that opens the play and washes the royal party onto the island. The tragicomedy leads the audience through a tale of betrayal, romance, power struggles, magic arts and revenge.
