Bakersfield Music Theatre & Stars Theatre Restaurant is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the enrichment of the Kern County community. Through renowned performances and youth programs, BMT/Stars has grown to become a beloved and valued part of Kern County’s cultural heartbeat.

Since 1969, BMT/Stars has graciously welcomed many audience members and guests. Although ticket sales are a major part of what makes the theatre work, it is not enough to keep the doors open or grow our educational programs. 25% of the theatre’s funds come from generous contributions from our dedicated patrons and friends. In a time where arts education programs are being cut from schools, and local arts organizations are struggling to make ends meet, it is important to nurture our arts institutions.

We graciously accept donations of all sizes. Donors who reach the following levels will be mentioned in the “Reach for the Stars” section of all show programs, and receive a ‘Star’ plaque in the Stars Theatre Restaurant lobby:

• Lifetime Patron: $100,000 — $1,000,000
• Platinum Star: $20,000
• Gold Star: $10,000
• Silver Star: $5,000
• Bronze Star: $1,000
